Prtfolio Task6
Ahmed Manaa Alshamsi(H00155812)
ENGL N264/CLX

In these days some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to cooperate rather than compete become more useful adults. In this essay I will write whether I agree or disagree with this statement.

There are two sides to any argument. I disagree with the people who think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged because it shows the seeds of hatred and envy in the hearts of little kids. Another argument is because it kills the spirit of cooperation. A further argument is that if the kids do this way the number of friends will be decreased.

On the other hand, I agree with the people who believe that children who are taught to cooperate rather than compete become more useful adults because this way makes the children like each other. Another argument is that if the children are taught to cooperate the number of friends will increase. A further argument is that this way encourages them to learn.

In conclusion, as you can see, there are two sides to any argument and I hope the people use the right way for themselves.
